Fight plants with plants
We have a great alternative to weeding in order to combat weeds: plant groundcover. This creates a beautiful living carpet amongst your other plants, stopping the weeds from getting enough sunlight to make their way out of the soil.
Groundcover
Groundcover plants are ‘low’ plants that - as the name suggests - cover the ground with their creeping runners. They don’t need much maintenance, and they bring even more greenery to your garden. They also make an ideal hiding place for hedgehogs, for example. They also provide a defence against cats, stopping them from endlessly digging up the soil.
