Colours and shapes
This South African lady is available in white, red, blue, yellow, pink, purple and orange. You can also opt for bicoloured, multicoloured, single flowers or double flowers, so it’s nigh on impossible not to find one that suits you. If you really can’t find the perfect flower you just need to be patient, since new varieties are appearing constantly.
The stamens are clearly visible on the single-flowered bloomers. Double flowered freesias are slightly more unusual, and many people find them even more beautiful: the stamens have been transformed into extra petals.

Where is that lovely smell coming from?
The scent of the freesia is extremely nostalgic and takes you back to beautiful memories of the past when you were little. The various colours of freesias have different fragrances, from spicy peppery to beautifully sweet. Which colour fragrance is your favourite? The freesia’s scent is strongest when all the petals have fully opened. It’s a feast for your nose and a wonderfully warm homecoming when you’re enthusiastically welcomed by the fantastic fragrance of this long-blooming flower!
